Microdermabrasion is exceedingly gentle, so patients recover quickly. The treatment process usually takes no more than an hour. Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is similar to microdermabrasion: The skin is treated with a crystal spray to remove damaged and worn skin cells. However, dermabrasion uses larger particles to reach deeper layers of skin. This makes it more effective, particularly for treating more pronounced wrinkles and scars. However, patients who choose dermabrasion over microdermabrasion also experience more post-treatment redness and tenderness. These symptoms typically require a few days' rest and recovery to fade.

Glycolic Skin Peel

A glycolic skin peel is a great way to remove damaged skin cells while stimulating cell regeneration. Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that is powerful enough to produce excellent skin rejuvenation results, yet gentle enough to avoid damage to delicate facial skin. Skin peels exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, and reduce the appearance of light scarring, making them particularly invaluable for patients with acne-related skin problems. After treatment, the skin may flake slightly or show some redness for a few days, but these side effects fade quickly to reveal new skin with a healthy, youthful glow.

TCA Skin Peel

TCA (trichloroacetic acid) skin peels are somewhat stronger than glycolic acid peels, making them appropriate for more pronounced aging symptoms. TCA peels remove outer layers of skin to gently improve superficial pigmentation problems and reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Patients normally experience some redness and peeling for up to a week after a TCA peel, but these symptoms fade quickly to reveal healthy, rejuvenated skin.
