Last year, many people experienced skin problems due to unhealthy amounts of “pandemic stress.” The fear of illness, the absence of family and friends, and required lifestyle changes like staying at home, keeping our distance from others, and wearing a face mask continue to increase stress hormones that wreak havoc within our bodies.
They say winter is the season of the imagination, that the start of a new year is a time of hope and optimism. They also say it’s the best time to celebrate your accomplishments, take inventory of your options, and create a new set of goals to work towards all year long.
Yet at the same time, the new and the unknown can also bring feelings of insecurity and anxiety, especially about the way you look.
Having the body of your dreams doesn’t necessarily mean looking like the women or men on the cover of Vogue. It means having a body that you feel good about and feel comfortable in.
Maybe that means Vogue, maybe Parenting or Good Housekeeping. Whatever look you’re going for with your ideal body, you know how frustrating it can be when summer rolls around and your body just isn’t where you want it to be.
