Dr. Patrick Proffer is a native of Amarillo, Texas, and a fourth-generation resident of the Texas Panhandle. He attended Texas Tech University and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.). While in medical school, he received many awards and commendations, including the highest honor of Alpha Omega Alpha for those graduating in the top 10 percent of their class.
Dr. Paul Proffer, an Amarillo native, returned to the area to form Proffer Surgical Associates in 2006. After completing his undergraduate degree at West Texas State University, he attended Texas Tech School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. In 1995, Paul was honored by his peers in San Antonio with the Ophthalmology Resident of the Year Award.
Dr. Liana Proffer received her Doctor of Medicine degree and dermatology training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and also served in the United States Navy. Her Mohs Surgery Fellowship was with Dr. Ronald Siegle in Columbus, Ohio. She performs reconstructive surgery and skin cancer surgery using the cutting-edge Mohs micrographic surgery technique. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgeons.
Karen Hubbard, MSN, FNP-C, has been a healthcare provider with Proffer Surgical Associates for five years and boasts more than a decade of plastic surgery experience. Her expertise also includes surgical dermatology, injectables and lasers. She received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from West Texas A&M University.
